Batch 2 Round 2 Brewer Chris Hillman

I’m an all-grain brewing, cider making systems engineer hailing from Boise, Idaho. My first fermenting experience was making mead and extract beers when I was in the Navy in the mid 90s. I gave up ‘home brewing’ when I left to ride submarines. I spent about 13 years away from the hobby, and started brewing beer again about 3 years ago.

I competed in the first round of batch one of Iron Brewer and it was a great experience. I’m coming back for another round–to challenge myself, and taste what other brewers do with the ingredients.

My favorite styles are probably American & English pale ales & IPAs, though I try to brew a variety of styles to expand my horizons.
